In December ’25, I was asked to be part of Punch Up! Theatre Company’s inaugural Musical Theatre Fight Club, a monthly contest where musical theatre writers “duke it out” to be the audience-chosen best song.

We were given a prompt and one week to write our submission.

PROMPT: “Write a song about a holiday “gone wrong” - and include your favorite pie.”

I didn’t win, but I sure did have fun writing “Our Impromptu Thanksgiving” and being part of the festive evening!
